between 500mb -> 2GB minimum
between 4gb -> 16GB reccommended
but i think 40gb or 64gb sizes would be slightly overkill depending
on how many apps you intend to use?

hard drive sizes in early 2000 were usually frm 6GB to 14GB,
20GB was a larger drive at that time, but 40GB drives started showing up in late 2000
and steadily increased in the next few years, 80GB first showed up in 2001 i think, and became more
commonplace in 2002?
