« on: September 02, 2015, 07:41:23 AM »
the 68000 is actually related to an earlier version of itself called the 6800 series cpu
which is from 5 years even prior to it, in 1974!!!!!!!!!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_6800

of the 68k series there are 4 different revisions
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_68000
1. Motorola 68000 (1979)
2. Motorola 68020 (1984)
3. Motorola 68030 (1987)
4. Motorola 68040 (1990)

the 68000 cpu was manufactured by many different companies, most famously Motorola
