im trying to find the original installer disks of voyetra sequencer plus gold v4.11 (installer was found!! thanks again to "Juno 6" on gearslutz)  can anyone help me? - the program has been made freeware by turtlebeach but they have the non final version posted for download which is v4.10... and according to the manual i need version 4.11 to be able to properly use more than one midi interface together at a time.. which is what im trying to do (to get more midi output ports using real hardware) http://contents.driverguide.com/content.php?id=66058&path=README.TXT this textfile also indicates this under the "notes for dos users" where it specifically states: "To get this to work with
Sequencer Plus, you must obtain SP version 4.11 or higher,
which will have an install explicitly for this. - please help if u have the disks!! please register here + post a link!

--- SpGold version 4.09 Update ---
1) MASTER sync mode -
When Sp Gold is in MASTER sync mode, it uses its own internal clock as a timing
reference and simultaneously generates SMPTE from the V-24s SMPTE output.
This mode allows Sp Gold to send SMPTE to another
hardware device or a MIDI/digital audio application running simultaneously on
another computer, such as Digidesign Sound Tools/Pro Tools/Deck, Turtle Beach
56K, MTU MicroSound, etc. MASTER also allows you to record your MIDI tracks
and your SMPTE stripe onto tape at the same time.

2) All SAPI drivers (except SAPIMFC) are now General MIDI-compliant.
*SAPI's default patch and drum note mapping are identical to those defined by
the General MIDI standard. *SAPI uses channel 16 (*NOT channel 10*) as its drum channel.

3)New Librarian support:
Quote
Roland D-70,
Ensoniq SQ-1 Plus and SQ-2,
Kawai XD-5,
Korg 01/W,
Korg Wavestation A/D

4)New hardware support:

4-operator Sound Blaster Pro

5).PIF and .ICO file to use for running Sp from within Windows.

--- SpGold version 4.10 Update ---

Sequencer Plus - FAQs

AWE-32 & AWE-64
Drivers to be used by Sequencer Plus:

vapiSb16.com  (or vapiSb3.com)  for external MIDI
sapiAWE.com /port:2  (for the wavetable synthesizer)
sapi!sb3.com /port:3 (for the FM synthesizer)

updated driver info: http://web.archive.org/web/20020409062145/http://www.voyetra.com/site/kb_ftp/340ftp.asp

NOTE: SapiAWE.com was never released in a Sequencer Plus version.
You need to download this driver from the FTP, and effectively need to edit
the DRIVER.BAT file to get it going.  (In the SB versions of Seq.Plus,
it would be the SPPRO.BAT or SEQ.BAT;)

Sb: 2nd try (Voyetra SP4)
To: Voyetra Technologies 71141,3422

Here's our official statement concerning the release of Sequencer Plus version
4.0. To receive a free copy of our newsletter that details all of our new
products and prices, please call us at 1-800-233-9377.

Version 4.0 will be officially released in two weeks. It's a major update that
adds a substantial number of new features, support for several brands of MIDI
interfaces, no copy protection and departs from our traditional Sp1/ Sp2/ Sp3
product lineup in favor of three new versions: Sp Junior ($69.95), Sp ($169.95)
and Sp Gold ($299.95).

The most significant change is VAPI; our new universal MIDI programming system.
By using VAPI, our programs no longer rely on MPU-401 intelligent mode and so
can run on any VAPI compatible MIDI hardware. Besides hardware independence,
VAPI provides significant enhancements (eg. MTC sync, multiple MIDI ports,
mute/solo while playing, etc.) that were impossible to implement reliably with
MPU-401 intelligent mode.

Sequencer Plus Gold is a major upgrade of Sequencer Plus Mark III version 3.0.
Here are some of the new and enhanced features:

No Copy Protection Support for several MIDI interface standards, including: *
MPU-401 compatible interfaces/ Voyetra V-22, V-24S/ Yamaha C1/ Creative Labs'
Sound Blaster/ Ad-Lib Game Card/ Music Quest MQX-16/16S, MQX-32/32M/ IBM Music
Feature Card Support for Multiple MIDI Ports with port assignment matrix. MIDI
thru rechannelizing. Mute and Solo While Playing. Advanced Sync Support for
SMPTE and MIDI Time Code (MTC). Sync assignment window for controlling SMPTE
hardware. Over 15 New and Enhanced Transforms. Main Screen Volume and Pan. MIDI
Keyboard Step Entry Mode. Time Markers. Multiple Tempo Tracks. Hardware
Configuration Window. Metronome on PC Speaker or MIDI instrument. Variable
Metronome duration and pitch. Program Change/Dot Option. Enhanced Files Screen
with sorting options. Generic Sysex uploading and downloading. Digital Delay
Length Calculator. Hit Point Window. Advanced Track jumping options. QWERTY
Keyboard

For a complete list and description of these new features, please refer to the
file called SP4SPEX.DOC.

substantial number of new features, support for several
brands of MIDI interfaces, no copy protection and departs
from our traditional Sp1/ Sp2/ Sp3 product lineup.

The most significant change is VAPI; our new universal MIDI
programming system. By using VAPI, our programs no longer
rely on MPU-401 intelligent mode and so can run on any VAPI
compatible MIDI hardware. Besides hardware independence,
VAPI provides significant enhancements (eg. MTC sync,
multiple MIDI ports, mute/solo while playing, etc.) that
were impossible to implement reliably with MPU-401
intelligent mode.

The departure from our classic "1-2-3" lineup reflects a new
marketing strategy tailored towards our projected growth
into the PC multimedia market.

Sequencer Plus was originally introduced as version 1.0 in
1984 and later updated to version 2.0 in 1985. As PC MIDI
increased in popularity, we provided an upward path for
entry level users by splitting Sequencer Plus ver 2 into
three products: Sp1,2,3. Now that our market has shifted to
include a significant number of mass-market and multimedia
applications, the Sp lineup has again been restructured to
address a broader segment of the marketplace.

Sp Junior ($69.95) replaces Sp1 as our entry level,
aggressively-priced sequencer. It includes support for
multiple ports, MIDI files, and other features required to
create compositions for home studios, business and
multimedia presentations. SpJr is presently being bundled
with the Sound Blaster MIDI option box.

Sequencer Plus ($169.95) replaces Sp2 as the sequencer for
professional users who need all the "bells and whistles." By
removing the Universal Librarian, we were able to drop the
price and enhance the sequencing features to the point
where, in many ways, it's more powerful than the original
Sp3 v3 sequencer section. For the difference in retail
prices ($100), SpJr users can upgrade to Sp v4, enabling
them to sync songs to SMPTE, MTC, MIDI clock, etc. and
utilize Sp's sophisticated MIDI editing and transform
enhancements.

Sp Gold ($299) is a "super-charged" version of Sp3 v3,
offering the industry's most reliable Sequencer, most
powerful Universal Librarian and versatile MIDI Data
Analyzer. Besides adding new features, the Universal
Librarian supports over 130 MIDI Instrument models and the
new price is lower than Sp3 v3.

-  -  -  -  UPGRADE PRICES  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -

The cost of upgrading between Sp levels is the difference in
retail price of the software. (eg. upgrading from SpJr to Sp
costs the $100 difference in their retial prices.)

The Cost of Updating from earlier versions of Sp are as
follows:

Sp1 v3 to Sp v4 = $ 50.00
If Sp1 was purchased after 8/1/90, the update is $ 25.00

Sp1 v3 to Sp Gold = $170.00
If Sp1 was purchased after 8/1/90, the update is $125.00

Sp2 v3 to Sp Gold v4 = $ 70.00
If Sp2 was purchased after 8/1/90, the update cost is $
35.00

Sp3 v3 or Sp3C1 to Sp Gold v4 = $ 50.00
If Sp3 was purchased after 8/1/90, the update is Free.

To update Sp 1,2,3 versions lower than 3.0 add $ 30.00 to
these prices.

Sp rev 2.0/1.0 (pre Sp1,2,3) to Sp v4.0 = $ 80.00
Sp rev 2.0/1.0 (pre Sp1,2,3) to Sp Gold = $190.00

Sp and Sp Gold require a hard drive and should be used with
PC's based on 80286 and 80386 processors.

Voyetra V-22/-24s MIDI Interfaces Official Announcement
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
                   **********
To receive a free copy of our newsletter that details all of
our new products and prices, please call us at 1-800-233-
9377.
                   **********

Our new V-22/-24s multi-port MIDI interfaces couple a
feature-packed SMPTE reader/ generator with a "Yamaha
C1-style" multi-port interface to satisfy a broad range of
requirements ranging from professional to entry level PC
MIDI applications. We opted to make MPU compatibility an
option on our system because an increasing number of MIDI
programs use the MPU in "UART mode" to avoid the limitations
of "intelligent mode."

Because we too have been frustrated by intelligent mode, we
decided to abandon the MPU-401 architecture in favor of
something more versatile. Since we were so impressed by the
versatility of the Yamaha C1, we decided to bring its
innovative features to desktop PC's.

In tandem with designing the V-22/-24s, we developed "VAPI,"
our new universal MIDI protocol. With VAPI, MIDI developers
can easily port their C1 software to run on the V-22/-24s,
with the added benefit that it will also run on any other
VAPI supported hardware.

The V-22/-24s provides a low-cost, multi- port, SMPTE
interface with an easy upgrade path. That makes it easy to
buy only what you need, with the confidence of being able to
trade-up rather than trade-in.

 - - - - - - - - - The V-22/-24s design concept- - - - - - -

Four models are available, each based on the same, 1/3
length PC bus card called the V-22. A quad MIDI cable turns
this bus card into a V-22 interface (2 in/2 out.) A small
module using the Roland MPU chip set plugs into the V-22
card, turning it into a V-22m (for "Mpu") and provides
optional MPU-401 compatibility. A SMPTE module adds two
ports, audio click detector and SMPTE to the basic V-22
card. The combination of a SMPTE module, connector box and
V-22 card comprises the V-24s (2 in/ 4 out with SMPTE.)
Adding the MPU module makes this a V-24sm.

The modular design of the new V-22/-24s helps to assure non-
obsolescence while providing all the features needed for any
PC MIDI application.

Prices are as follows:

V-22 (2 in 2 out/ VAPI Compatible)             = $129.95
V-22m (2 in 2 out/ VAPI/ MPU-401 Compatible)   = $219.95
With trade-in of MPU-compatible interface      = $169.95

V-24s (2 in 4 out/ SMPTE)                      = $299.95
V-24sm (2 in 4 out/ SMPTE/ MPU-401 Compatible) = $389.95
With trade-in of MPU-compatible interface      = $339.95
MSMPTE (SMPTE upgrade for V-22)                = $199.95
MMPU (MPU Module for V-22/-24s)                = $ 99.95

V-22/-24s orders:

The V-24s will be shipping in December. If you place an
order for the V-22 before then, your cost for the MSMPTE
upgrade (which turns it into a V-24s) will be reduced to
$170 if purchased within 90 days of receiving your V-22.
This will let you start with the V-22 and later turn it into
a V-24s without paying the $30 premium for a normal upgrade.

Trade-In Policy for MPU-401 compatibles:

For a limited time, we're offering a $50 discount on the
V-22M and V-24SM interfaces if you send in any
manufacturer's MPU-401 compatible interface with your order
(ie. Voyetra V-400x series, Roland MPU-401, Music Quest,
etc.) The V-22M/-24SM provide MPU-401 compatibility for
programs that are not VAPI compatible. The MPU module on the
V-22M and V-24SM saves the extra slot taken up by a
stand-alone MPU-compatible interface.

This offer is valid only for V-22M/-24SM units purchased
directly from Voyetra. Certain restrictions may apply. Your
trade-in must be in functional condition as determined by
Voyetra. This offer may not be combined with any other
offers and may be discontinued at any time without notice.

VAPI Support:

VAPI is very similar to the Yamaha CAPI spec. If you're a
programmer and want to support the V-22/-24s VAPI driver,
please call us for details.

- - - - - - - - -  V-22/-24s Features Summary - - - - - - -

* Easy Upgrade minimizes and protects your investment.

* Multiple MIDI I/O ports allows control of up to 64 MIDI
channels (for the V-24s).

* Syncs to external MIDI Time Code.

* V-24s SMPTE Generator writes in all five frame rates.

* V-24s  SMPTE Reader locks to any point on a SMPTE tape in
any of five frame rates.

* V-24s SMPTE Stall Detector senses "stalled" timecode,
(i.e., when the SMPTE appears to be valid code, but is
repeatedly transmitting the same SMPTE number.)

* V-24s Frame Rate Detector automatically senses incoming
SMPTE Rate.

* V-24s SMPTE Freewheeling compensates for variable length
tape dropouts. Dropout time is manually selectable.

* V-24s Variable high frequency rolloff on SMPTE input
compensates for various tape equalization conditions.

* V-24s Variable SMPTE output level compensates for
different recording situations.

* V-24s SMPTE Reconditioner "cleans up" a degraded SMPTE
stripe so it may be re-recorded onto another track and used
as a fresh stripe.

* V-24s Vari-track feature lets your sequencer tempo adjust
to a tape machine that's playing at a speed different from
the original recording.

* V-24s Audio Click Detector allows a click recorded on tape
or an external sound source, (eg. preamplified microphone)
to drive the sequencer tempo.

* V-24s LED System Monitor indicates when SMPTE is generated
and SMPTE lock or dropouts occur.

- - - - - - V-400x MPU compatible Interfaces Revised - - -

Since VAPI runs our V-400x interfaces in UART mode, we've
realigned our V-400x models as follows:

V-4000: This is now our basic MPU-401 compatible interface.
The new price is $139.95; making it the lowest priced MPU
compatible using a genuine Roland chipset.

V-4001: Because VAPI doesn't support the FSK features and
metronome on MPU interfaces, the V-4001 has been
discontinued. To get FSK and metronome features for MPU
intelligent mode software, combine the the V-4000 and
PC/Syncpak.

V-4001cs: This model has been discontinued.

Note that the V-22m and V-24sm offer multi-ports, along with
MPU-401 compatibility.

i found it this in the driver section of vogons.org :

http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=19

it's the install files of "sequencer plus" that will find the sound blaster & install it accordingly apparently. I hope it's not too many Kb for the memory of my PC XT, so that i'll have space left for my songs.
it doesn't say sequencer plus JUNIOR: i'd still be glad to find that version, if it can be any lighter...
