voyetra was called "octave plateau"before.. im guessing thats why its called the "OP"-4001... 4001 is a play on words i think of 401 from "mpu-401" (after the roland mpu-401 (1984) which predates the op-4001 by a few years)

one of the first cards advertised by voyetra  -  began being advertised in late 1986 in pc mag
