Now the world's most popular sequencing software utilizes the digital audio capabilities of Apple's Sound Manager to give you the ultimate musical tool. Vision 3.0 lets you record, edit, and view 16 bit audio tracks, in the same window with your MIDI sequences. It gives you the power to display and manipulate information in a myriad of musically meaningful ways, and makes technology transparent, fostering your creativity.
Vision is a comprehensive, integrated suite of software with a diversity of abilities that defy the boundaries of a printed brochure. What follows is a brief overview, to really understand the depth and power of Vision you'll just have to put it to work on your next project.

What's New in Vision 3.0?
Sound Manager Digital Audio

Mixing Consoles

OMS 2.0 and Galaxy 2.0 Integration

New Patch Pop-up in Track Overveiw

 Control Bar
At the heart of Vision lies a deceptively simple Control Bar with familiar tape recorder-like transport controls and quick-click icons. Compact yet easy-to-navigate the Control Bar gives you instant access to any of the five main editing windows: Sequences, Track Overview, List, Piano Roll, or Notation. It also shows Record Status and location in either bars and beats or SMPTE time code, and has Marker location recall buttons, Punch points, and much more.
Track Overview
Track Overview is a "global information center" for your MIDI and audio tracks and provides a wealth of user feedback and control. Track Overview lets you see the contours of your music by faithfully representing audio waveforms as well as MIDI data.

In Phrases Mode, you can define each track's detail level as well as "silence length." With this unique feature, MIDI events that occur close in time are considered one block. MIDI events that are separated by a predetermined length of silence, however, are allocated into separate blocks.

Alternately, tracks can be viewed in Block Mode, which allows you to size blocks instantly in sections as small as an 8th note, or as large as 16 bars. Tracks Mode displays tracks as a single block. A "Play Selection" option lets you select any phrase or block and play it instantly. You can cut, copy, paste, or delete any part of a MIDI or audio track - or double-click on a block to go to another editing screen.

Sound Manager Digital Audio
For recording and editing audio files, Vision has everything you would expect in a high-end digital audio workstation.

Audio track editing is nondestructive, so you can always undo or modify an edit later if you change your mind. Within the Track Overview window, the start and end of any audio event can be "trimmed," to hear more or less of the associated audio file. And of course any audio event can be moved, copied, duplicated, cut, and pasted.

 Mixing Consoles
Mixing audio tracks is as simple as selecting part (or all) of the tracks or events and then choosing Mix. Pan and Volume information may be retained for each track, and there's never any signal quality degradation -so you can mix as many times as you like. Vision's mixing and monitoring sections have all of the features you would expect in a professional recording package, plus some unique features you won't find anywhere else. Use the Build from Selected Tracks command and Vision will build you a console for the audio and MIDI instruments you have selected! The Console window menu allows you to choose between a narrow module console, so that you can fit the maximum number of tracks on screen, or a wide module console with stereo VU Meters.

Quantize
"Tighten" your project to the nearest boundary, for playback only, or permanently. Use Grid Quantize with evenly spaced boundaries, or Groove Quantize, which allows you to tighten data based upon another performance. You can easily create and edit your own grooves or use Vision's stock Grooves, including Akai MPC-60 and Linn 9000 drum machine templates, or the 50 free "DNA" Grooves. Musicians will appreciate the "humanity" that Groove Quantize can add to tracks.

OMS 2.0 and Galaxy 2.0 Integration
Vision 3.0 is more than a sequencing and digital audio recording package. It's a complete system for turning your Power Macintosh into a musical workstation. Bundled with Vision 3.0 is a highly integrated suite of programs that will simplify your life. OMS 2.0 the Open Music System, the OMS Movie Player, AV Controls, and Galaxy the Universal Librarian.

OMS 2.0 makes studio set-up easy. Step by step prompts help you identify, name, and associate your studio gear with icons for quick reference. Once you're set up, OMS lets you access and organize your studio quickly without having to remember instrument numbers and channel assignments. Both the OMS Movie Player and AV Controls applications integrate with OMS to make playing movies or controlling external MMC devices a snap, either from within Vision, or independently. The OMS Movie Player lets you view QuickTime movies while working with your audio/MIDI tracks. Precision timing services give you accurate synchronization, and AV Controls gives you perfect integration with tape decks such as the Alesis ADAT and Tascam D-88. OMS also integrates with Galaxy, patch librarian software that lets you store, retrieve and organize your synth sounds. Using OMS's flexible Name Browser you can view your patches by name or number--and even group by bank or keyword. Forget about the 128 program change limitation, you can seamlessly choose any of the patches in your devices and the necessary Bank Select commands are automatically sent for you.

Patch Names in Track Overview
Now you can see your patch names in the track overview window! Don't guess what patch is on track 5, just look at it. You can even insert patches directly on the track. Use OMS and you'll see actual patch names and not just cryptic numbers.

Found this as well;
titled "SVPro_3.0.1->3.0.2" no idea what it is (update? -can't open in on my Macbook Air, was hoping there'd be a crack included or something to shine some light on the process)
