Back when i did "Logic" (https://www.discogs.com/Logic-Celebrate-Life-One-Step-Beyond/release/33745) (27 Nov 1991 is the date of release for 'celebrate life') i wasn't using Logic (the macintosh application) I was using an Sp1200 and Smpte Tracks Gold-- yeah- stone age sequencing! lol! after that i changed to Performer but once the Logic program came out , I fell in love with it (this would have been v1.6 of logic arriving on macintosh around early-mid or late 1993 - see "logic goes mac" http://tweakheadz.com/history-of-notator-and-logic3/ )

-Hybrid Arts SMPTETracks Gold (ATARI ST) (early 90s? - late 1991) http://www.oldschooldaw.com/forums/index.php?topic=3364

i often had a hunch he might have meant Voyetra's package they had for sale
called SMPTE/pak GOLD" which was Sequencer Plus Gold for IBM/PC ISA addon board + interface + cable combination
"SMPTE/pak GOLD: ($529.95) Includes Sp Gold and a V-24s for
the most powerful MIDI package around.

-motu performer (definately Macintosh - 1991 -1992?) was at version 3.x in 1992 -

he must have been using a mac from 1990 - 1991 - or 1992  possibly a mac IIsi?

performer v3.x or performer v4.x http://www.oldschooldaw.com/forums/index.php?topic=60.0
-digital performer 1.0 released late 1992 -introduced audio integration similar to opcode studio vision
-emagic logic (when originally ported from Atari to MAC/PC, early-mid 1993)

im guessing he probably switched to Logic around the time of  Logic 1.7 (1994?)
emagic logic 1.6 (spring/summer 1993 | emagic logic 1.7 (winter 1994?)

E-mu SP12  --> E-mu SP1200
SMPTE tracks Gold (ATARI Software) http://tamw.atari-users.net/editrk.htm
on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/edmproduction/comments/3vnnf3/hi_redmproduction_im_roger_sanchez_ama/)  roger remarks that he was using SMPTE tracks GOLD at the time of working on LOGIC - Celebrate life, and then eventually moved to MOTU Performer (the vintage  "mac only" predecessor to MOTU Digital Performer)
he either meant this atari program or its possible he was referring to the voyetra package SMPTE tracks GOLD (which was sold under the name of "SMPTE/pak GOLD": ($529.95) which included the software + the hardware neccessary.) that came with Sequencer Plus Gold For IBM/PC DOS http://www.oldschooldaw.com/forums/index.php?topic=2744
MOTU Performer (sequencing) (which wouldve had to have been between version 3.5-4.2 of MOTU Performer for system 6/7 according to the info i have http://www.oldschooldaw.com/forums/index.php?topic=60.0)
