is anyone sure if the emulator x3 originally used e-mu products as authorization to run the app? i dunno why but i vaguely remember reading that the x-board e-mu contrller could be used to authorize the emulator x software... i could be totally wrong im trying to confirm this now..
thinking further on this its probably the Proteus X2 sound module software that is what was able to be used/activated with the presence of any other e-mu products, pci or usb
if theres any readers that have e-mu products maybe you can help me confirm this because my e-mu 0404usb is dead

Emulator X3 was postponed almost a year, if I remember correctly, because they could not get their C/R servers going.
Emulator X2 used e-mu products as authorization.
