Indeed.
Back in thee days, support @Midiman sent me the replacement chips (gates) for free, to solve a corrupted SysEx dumps problem I had using the 4x4/S in an old PIII-1000/440BX PC that's still around.
The 2x2 was rock solid AFAIK.
