Opcode was sold to Gibson in May of 1998 - this PREDATES the release of Windows 98 (original Version) let alone (SE) or (ME)
for more info visit here: http://www.oldschooldaw.com/forums/index.php?topic=515.0

while it maybe be possible to get software + hardware working with the original windows 98...... ive read that none of their hardware or software is compatible with windows 98SE or windows ME...

im not sure about the XP drivers floating around i will have to test them
but the rule of thumb is .. if its opcode + windows.... use it with windows 95 or
windows for workgroups 3.11 if you want it to work properly.

heres an old archived thread, where some people are discussing trouble getting the opcode interfaces working with win98se
one user states all his interfaces are working, and that he has ACPI disabled in favour of APM.

I know this might not help much, but my 64x has worked under Win95, Win98
and Win98SE with no problems. Currently, I have everything working on the
following machines:
    - 650MHz PIII, Asus motherboard, 128MB, Win98
    - 366MHz PII, Compaq Armada 7400 notebook, Win98SE
    - 333MHz PII, Compaq Armada 1750 notebook, Win98SE
I'm wondering if ACPI power management has anything to do with it.  All my
machines are set up for APM, not ACPI.  Maybe ACPI is messing with the
serial port, like powering it down when it shouldn't.
