InMusic/M-audio introduces "M-track Eight" (Jan 2014)

amazingly the "inMusic" company who've taken over the M-audio brand have neglected to post compatibility information about this interface.. remarking simply that its "mac/pc" compatible... but providing zero information on os versions.
searching the driver downloads is the only place to see which os this is compatible with: mac drivers start at 10.7+ and windows drivers start at windows 7 32/64 bit. InMusic brands is a relatively new company in the computer audio gear realm - that has purchased 'reputable' brand names, m-audio, akai, alesis. i am somewhat skeptical of them for this reason, the fact they couldnt just make their own brand and go by their merit of their own hardware, but instead chose to buy up the other competing brands and use their names, 'taking their spot' in the gear production industry. from a business standpoint it would be a way to make alot of cash and it happens quite often in all manufacturing areas that a new company buys the old name and creates newer lower quality items in order to turn a profit. lets hope this is not the case with "inMusic", but remember, when u see these names "m-audio", "akai pro", "Alesis" -these companies are not the same companies they used to be. Its "inMusic".. and its highly possible that their new technicians + designers do not have the same level of experience that these older companies brought to the table, unless they also hired all of their old staff members, which is possible, but as history has shown in these types of situations, somewhat unlikely.
