ReWire&REX update  (inc. in Reason101.rar attachment)

ReWire.dll and REX Shared Library.dll from Reason 1 are very old versions, so there may be issues with modern REX files and with other DAWs via ReWire.
Copy the .dll from the archive \ReWire&REX update to the Windows folder:

Refills for Reason 1 from Eric Corminier (Reason.Fan)

1. Analog Night

https://web.archive.org/web/20020802235742/http://reason.fan.free.fr/ancd.htm
http://reason.fan.free.fr/cd.htm
https://reasonbanks.com/refill_AN.html

Quote
What will you find in "Analog Night" ?
Analog Night is full of analog modelling sounds,"extracted" from my Yamaha AN1X.

All samples are originals.
Just copy the refill to your Reason directory, open an NN19 rack, load a sound and...play !

The CD is basically composed with more than 1.2 Gb of stereo wav samples, in 4 categories (basses, pads, synths and others).

Most of the multisamples are composed by 11 samples (from C1,G1,C2 to C6)

You'll find in the refill more than 1000 NN19 programs using these multisamples.

2. Quadrasynth Story

https://reasonbanks.com/refill_Quadra.html

Quote
Quadrasynth Story is a collection of the better sounds of the Alesis synthesizers Quadrasynth.

In fact, i noticed that Reason was missing some big pads sounds.
I had some on my QS8 but i wanted to have them directly in Reason so i started the sampling of these sounds.

This refill contains more than 1 Gb of stereo samples packed.
Most of them are multisampled and looped ones.

All the samples are stored into 9 different categories.

Hye !
I'm 37 years old (already!) and live near Bordeaux / France.
I sometimes use my pseudo (Leida) to produce songs.

Why this site ?
Because there was already a lot in english, so i wanted to make i for french people.

So why is it in english so ?
The main page is in english but there is a french menu
but I must admit that most of reason users speak...english ! :-)

Hope you'll find here what you need !

By the way, wavetables from Orion can be used in NN-19.

I remember that some refills were built around this principle, but in this case NN-XT is usually used - you can build an advanced "wavetable synthesizer" there.

For example, PRO.TON by PinkNoise (which later became free for Reason users). But I can't use samples from there in Reason 1 - the sound is distorted. In new versions of Reason everything is ok.

Quote
PRO.TON

Publisher: PinkNoise Studio
Description: In a joint collaboration with Propellerhead Software, PinkNoise Studio now offers the much acclaimed PRO.TON ReFill, in a new and exciting version. Previously a commercial ReFill, PRO.TON is now free to all registered Reason users.

PRO.TON works as an analogue multi-osc synthesizer, it uses short waveforms to produce the sounds. With these waveforms you can create sounds with long and complex envelopes wich go far beyond true analogue synths. PRO.TON gives you a wide range of analog sounds and a unique combination of power and flexibility extensively using the specific features of the NN-XT advanced sampler.

To let PRO.TON users take advantage of Reason's Combinator device, PinkNoise Studio's Andras Haasz and Propellerhead product specialist James Bernard have joined forces to conjure an add-on ReFill to PRO.TON, crammed with rich-sounding useful Combinator patches, including a folder of song starters.

G2AVITY (PinkNoise Studio, 2022)

https://www.reasonbanks.com/refill_G2AVITY.html

G2AVITY is a synth library in ReFill format, based on the sounds of the legendary Nord Modular G2X synth from Clavia.
It also contains 192 NN-19 patches that open in Reason 1 without issue.

Andras Haasz: main idea, recording & editing, sound design, artwork
Lili Haasz: additional artwork
All samples were recorded and processed by PinkNoise Studio.

It's amazing that anyone else is making refills these days.
But I like the samples, they greatly expand the possibilities of sound design and complement the Subtractor.

$19 now: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/product/g2avity/

I know there is another G2 refill from SoundCells. But it's not compatible with Reason 1 (samples don't play correctly and no NN-19 patches): https://www.soundcells.de/products/refills/nordic-red/

ReCycle 1.7.1
« Reply #18 on: July 22, 2022, 08:34:22 AM »
ReCycle 1.7.1 (demo+working+portable)

ReCycle 1.7.1 demo was on Reason 1.0 Program Disc.
I used ReCycle a lot to make vocal samples because Reason didn't support audio tracks. This was very handy for marking up vocals into words and phrases, and then used in Dr. Rex.

:( I couldn't find the original installers, and it were removed from my Reason Studios account (2.0/2.1.2/2.2.4 are available only).

ReCycle 1.7 was released on May 21, 1999. It was distributed through Steinberg and Propellerheads.

ReCycle 1.7 Update Released
By Guest | May 22, 1999

Steinberg and Propellerhead Software are happy to announce version 1.7 of the award winning application ReCycle, for MacOS and Windows 98/NT.

Since its introduction ReCycle has become an industry standard for anyone working professionally with drum loops. The application can be heard in professional productions in practically all musical styles comprising looped drum elements: dance, hip-hop, r&b, techno, industrial, etc. It has even been said that the program has helped form loop intensive musical styles such as drum'n'bass and jungle.

ReCycle prepares drum loops for use in samplers by analysing and slicing them. It then creates the necessary audio elements and transfers them to the sampler and at the same time saves the required MIDI sequencer data to disk.

The effect of this is that the loop becomes tempo independent, that you can edit its components freely to "rebuild" the loop, and that the timing information in the recording (the musician's "groove" and "feel") can be applied to other (sequenced) elements of the music.

Version 1.6 ReCycle introduced the highly acclaimed REX format, which expands the use of the program to Audio Tracks in Cubase VST. With REX files, VST users can take advantage of ReCycle, without owning a sampler. More and more content suppliers will support the REX file format in the future.

With version 1.7, ReCycle has been completely rewritten from the ground upward as a preparation for future major enhancements. Version 1.7 features a revised and enhanced user interface and is faster and easier to use. A number of sampler drivers have been added; now all the industry standard samplers are supported. Sampler test routines and troubleshooting tools have been implemented as well as SoundFonts (PC only) and REX-File export (as introduced on the Macintosh platform in 1997). The application is now 32-bit, supports long file names and DirectX audio playback as well as featuring native Windows 98/NT SCSI-support, including support of multiple host adapters.

ReCycle 1.7 will be available in Q2 1999. The update from Version 1.6 is free of charge and available as a download from www.steinberg.net and www.propellerheads.se https://www.harmonycentral.com/news/uncategorized/recycle-17-update-released-r27739/

ReCycle Lite 1.7.1 (setup+serial+portable)

Not much is known of ReCycle Lite 1.7.1. I know they were distributed as add-on software to Creative Sound Blaster cards.

Quote
ReCycle! Lite slices drum-loop samples in your SoundFont capable soundcard and turns them into an invaluable resource: Beats that can be matched and layered in different tempos and rhythms.
Its larger cousin 'Recycle!' extends the concept and extracts and analyzes loops from professional samplers and even directly from audio files. The results can be imported directly into Cubase without having to have the sampler connected, or easing the load on a SoundFont sound-card. https://web.archive.org/web/20020208140619/http://www.steinberg.de/oem/creative/index_e.html

It was a very limited version: 30 seconds, mono, REX format (first version). But it was free and did not require a disk for authorization. It looks like the serial number was the same for everyone on the drives (but I could be wrong).

I got an interesting error after messing around with some of the software here, multiple DAW's pop up this error on Windows XP now.
Reason was the first DAW I noticed doing this.
I installed Orion Platinum and Reason 1 started popping up this error, and I have no clue on how to fix it.
I figured since you posted to both threads, you might be able to help me out here.

CompareStringEx() doesn't exist in Windows XP, аs far as I remember,
You probably installed an incompatible .dll - rewire, rex or something.
