Swapping of old versions of FL 1.x.x & 2.x.x

I'm trying to collect demo version of FL in this lines. Would like to get in touch with someone who has versions of this, at the moment I have v1.0, v1.2, v1.4.3, v2.1.1, v2.5.4 (Defective archive from wayback machine that I hacked together somehow so that it works fairly good), v2.7.1 and v2.7.2. All these versions run fine under winXP (some need compatibility modus set) exect v1.0 which I only got to run on a win98SE machine.

I also have some v3.x.x demos, but that's not my focus at the moment.

I'm also interested in some good links to old H20, OXYGEN etc. stuff ... seems to me like google and the bay have been surgically cleaned of references to any of this old stuff.

Edit : I stumbled across FL v1.2 demo, runs fine under win XP. Very simple cute thang. It's from 1998 and 1,7MB.

I have FL Pro 1.76 TS404 (1999) if it's of any use. Also from the same period, FruityTracks 1.4 (1999), Fruity SimSynth Live for FL1.7 (2001) and FL Dreamstation Synth (2002)

not so sure anyone is really worried about surgically cleaning this info from the publics grasp...
rather it is that its 2017 and people have moved on and sites go up + down on the internet

if its a very small (10-25mb) filesize and a very old program (1999 + prior) then i
dont really have a problem with it being attached as a file attachment...

i encourage anyone and everyone interested in "helping out" to upload their original installer media that requires dongles so that people who have found dongles on ebay or been given them second hand from friends or family - alot of people end up losing the original disks after 20 years alot can happen right? - anyway - i think its great to have these original installers available for people who wish to use a dongle they have got their hands on withotu the software.

 like i said i really dont think that these companies are worried about versions this old...
like im sure a company like propellerheads is not worried about reason v1/v2/v3 being used
when they are making their money off serious producers who are wanting to run VST on v9.5
of reason DAW.... companies only make money off products for about 2-6 years max and then
they move on and make a more recent version of the product and drop support for the old
they survive by being supported by people who want leading edge tech... not broke hobbyist
musicians that have no money to burn anyway... ! anyway thats just my thoughts

Hi Chris. First of all I would like to thank you for making this wonderful site. I'm truly impressed by the incredible amount of useful information you have been able to put together. Great work !

I think the reason for the problems finding the True FruityLoops, which in my opinion is v1 to v3, is because of the legal problems with the Kellogs Company over alleged trademark violations ... I guess as part of that settlement all reference to FruityLoops was removed and changed to FruityLoops Studio. I refuse to belive that it can be so hard to find these versions naturally, I think I downloaded my v1.4.3 demo version from some obscure Russian guitar site in Sibir Found it through the Yandex search engine.

I think distribution of old demo versions are beneficial to the software companies, as it generates future demand for their products. But if you read an EULA these days, they own you Probably safest to do it on a P2P basis.

It may explain why most of the web archive with reference to fruityl00ps is broken, particularly the early days and versions v1.x to v3.x ... before it turned into FL Studio from v4.x. Powerful corporations don't go easy on perceived trademark infringements.

Not to my knowledge, I think the "machine" they are thinking about here is the Roland TB 303.
The TS404 channe instrumentl (TB 303 inspired) was for many the heart of FL. They killed the TS404 channel in FL12 and replaced it with a plugin instrument called Trasistor Bass ... which is supposed to be a better clone of the TB 303.

Unfortunately I only have "pre-cracked" copies of FruityLoops 1.3.66, 1.3.72, 1.4.0 and 1.6.5 so those won't be going back up.

Also I have FL Studio 4.1.0, 4.1.2, 4.5.2 and 5.0.2 which I believe are the last "old engine" (Win95 or later) versions, but I guess they're "too new" so won't be attaching them in this post.

One must be careful with Fruity Loops - FL Studio as there are certain 'bombs'...

Whenever you install any cracked of these FIRST THING go to a example tune & try to render it out...If it gives error 'Render Engine cannot start because audio is being used by another application' or some such baloney that is one of the 'bombs'...

Sometimes this shows up a month or two after install as well...

I have a demo version of the  from the previous post, It works wonderfully on windows 10, but not registered. In vain I hoped that the key would work. FL looks for a path to a Windows file that has long since disappeared

Maybe someone has a cracked version of Fruity loops 1.5xx - 1.6xx or 1.7xx? officially old fl - it is impossible to run

That version won't run for me so I could not test it...In fact several versions of 2-3-4 I tried had a problem or other however the FL Studio 7 I have works fine...

It appears that a more modern version may 'screw up' an older versions ability to run correctly, as I had, before installing version 7 I had version 5 running fine but after installing 7 it went 'demo'...

Also found out that running the EXE through a datefaker spikes an error that 'FLSTudio is being ran through a debugger & will exit'...

So it looks like Fruity Loops Developers were more crafty than people know...The first few Fruity Loops may be OK but many version 2-3-4-5 thought to be correctly cracked get screwed by a newer version appearing on the machine as I also had 2.54 & 3.0.1 running fine but now won't even start-up...

Well, Don't seem to have one for the earlier version 2's...

But I do have a Radium release of Fruity Loops 2.11 TS404 I'll attach...I've installed it before years ago...

Also HAD Fruity Tracks 1.5 tested but it FAILED as it refused to render-puke out a WAV so I won't be sharing that...

Also have some LATER version 2 & EARLY version 3 finishing up testing...When I post those you should probably read them as there are things that will apply to early version 2's as well...

Wish I could find a valid full-function 3.56 but all have failed in some way...

Which reminds me I came across a wayback page for Image-line from then saying they had to change the name over legal issues with the cereal 'Fruit Loops' which is rather strange cause now the mandela effect has it as been 'Froot Loops' which I NEVER have seen that spelling ever in the past...

The main problem is that i tryed to install it on Windows 98, Windows XP and even Windows 7, But it doesn't work anywhere

Im about FruityLoops 3.0. 2.11 Ts404 works perfectly (effects dont work on windows 7, but that's not a big deal)

Even here on XP not everything Peaches & Cream....

By the way thanks for that 3.56 but it is same as I have had before...Installs & run fine but no WAV render for me, earlier version 3 (3.1 & 3.3) seem fine but if there's a crash on rendering to WAV or other roadblock then I must delete registry entry-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FruityLoops 3

Some corruption happens there on crash, delete fixes but prefs must be redone...

Reg info is not stored there but under-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Image-Line\Registrations\FruityLoops 3

But for you I don't think deleting that first entry would help at all...

Might be best to just get an old laptop for 20 bucks that has XP on it...The whole 'compatibility mode' settings are complete bullshit & in all my years I've never had changing them make any difference at all....


One thing you could try is changing your DirectX version running Fruity then change back when running everything else...

I had to do this to install Cakewalk SONAR 2 as it said I did not have DX8...NO SHIT! I had DX9 but after changing version number for install then changing back AFTER install no problem running...

Problem with Fruity is that it is CHECKING version number in registry...

So HERE is my reg entry BEFORE installing SONAR-

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX]
"Version"="4.09.00.0904"


So I find valid DX8 entry & change to-

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX]
"Version"="4.08.01.0810"

Then it install fine & after I just change back to first one...

This done by saving these as .REG files then Double-click to enter one or the other...

This means you's have to Dbl-Clk a reg file before using Fruity then when done Dbl-Clk a reg file to get back to stock entry...

You just need to find a valid DX5 version number....


Other than that maybe Fruity is past using at least these old versions...But, BUTT! I GET IT!! They are nostalgic & very fun to use...YES!...But other old soft sound better...

Say like Aero Studio it's from 2003 but sound real good I just attached a SHORT audition video of just samples in the sampler units sounds great to me-

Fruity started sounding OK at version 3.3 but really started to shine at 5...
