You gonna laugh. In 1993 I used my Korg 01w/fd onboard 16 track midi sequencer.  And I used: e-mu Vintage keys for synth sounds, akai s950 for samples, and Alesis sr16 drums.   Mixed thru Mackie 1604 to DAT Tape. That's all!
**alot of early 1990s house/electronic music was made with the korg 01/W!!!

1992 korg 01/W FD,4425
1992 e-mu vintage keys
1991 mackie 1604,879
1990 Alesis SR-16,2337
1988 Akai s950,1479.0.html

Around 1998-2001 I used my old Mac Plus 2MB RAM... with Master tracks pro software

Then I finally got live audio capacity around year 1999-2000 with a Korg D8, then a Korg D16 (which actually has only 12 faders). Those 3 Environ EPs which relaunched my career were all done on D8/D16.  I stopped sequencing , simply recorded audio live from my SH101 and jamming directly into D16.
