Vista was never really adopted by the greater majority of windows users, untill it was repackaged as Windows 7
many people install Vista on their aging hardware and give it bad reviews because their hardware was too slow + lacked the GPU required for the transparency + effects; Vista gets a bad rap thanks to people running it on systems with 400mhz FSB or lower
/w x2/x4 AGP, rather then the new  Intel Core 2 1066/1333 FSB machines w/ AGP 8x + PCI-E gfx
