The world's most popular sequencing software is now available for Windows. Opcode's Vision offers a professional, yet easy to use environment for musicians, song writers, and composers. This integrated system includes the industry standard OMS (Open Music System), which facilitates effortless interfacing to sound cards, MIDI hardware, and multitrack recorders.

Musicians prefer Vision because it provides an extensive set of musical, intuitive tools. Create music quickly and easily with familiar tape recorder-like transport controls and user-configurable mixing consoles. And with the assistance of on-line "point and click" help, learning the program is a snap.

Vision gives you the flexibility to work the way you want. Choose between pattern or linear based sequencing-or a combination of both. Record your tracks in real time, step-enter them one note at a time, or even use drum machine-style loop recording.

Vision's Control Bar utilizes familiar tape recorder like transport controls and quick-click icons. Set punch points, autolocate to song regions, or with a click of a button open any of Vision's main windows: Sequences, Track Overview, List, Piano Roll, or Notation.

Vision's Track Overview window displays individual track data with detailed, colorful blocks, providing an elegant method of transforming your ideas and riffs into songs. Easily move or copy any phrase with a mouse click; instantly open Vision's Notation or Piano Roll window for more specific tweaking. All of the edits are performed in real time so the music never has to stop.

Tracks can be viewed in Block Mode, allowing you to size blocks instantly in sections as small as an 8th note, or as large as 16 bars. Alternately, Tracks Mode displays tracks as a single block. In Phrases Mode, you can define each track's detail level as well as "silence length." With this unique feature, MIDI events that occur close in time are considered one block. MIDI events that are separated by a predetermined length of silence, however, are allocated into separate blocks.

Mixing Consoles. Vision's mixing and monitoring sections have all of the features you would expect in a professional recording package, plus some unique features you won't find anywhere else. Use the Build from Selected Tracks command and Vision will build you a console for the MIDI instruments you have selected! Faders are displayed in either a narrow module console so you can fit the maximum number of tracks on screen, or in a wide module console with stereo VU Meters.
[Vision Quantize Image] Quantize. "Tighten" your project to the nearest rhythmic boundary, for playback only, or permanently. Use Grid Quantize with evenly spaced beats, or Groove Quantize, allowing you to tighten data based upon another performance. You can easily create and edit your own grooves or use Vision's stock Grooves, including Akai MPC-60 and Linn 9000 drum machine templates, or the 50 free DNA Grooves. Musicians will appreciate the "human" feel that Groove Quantize can add to tracks.

OMS Integration. The Open Music System (OMS) is the cross platform standard for MIDI management. OMS assists you by defining studio setups that provide a detailed description of your studio: auto-detect MIDI interfaces, sound cards, and instruments connected to your computer; graphically display and edit your MIDI setup on-screen with colorful icons. Once you're set up, Vision and OMS let you access your studio seamlessly without having to remember instrument numbers and channel assignments. And if you're looking for trouble-free MIDI interfacing, look no further than Opcode's own line of Music Quest PC hardware.
