Compatible with PCI-E 1.0 or 2.0 to be placed in any x4,x8 or x16 slots

for each pci-e lane its 250Mb/s, 500Mb/s per lane if its pci-e v2.0
this card is in the 4 lane physical form factor but the documentation says that its
x2 "electrically" so im not sure the actual max possible throughput on this card
if its x4 it would be 1000Mb/s on PCI-e v1.0 slots, and 2000Mb/s on PCI-e v2.0 Slots
if its actually x2 it would be 500Mb/s on PCI-E v1.0, and 1000Mb/s on PCI-E v2.0 slots


from the pdf files it looks like if you want MAC compatibility, you need the full RR640L model which includes the efi for the mac platform, if you want just windows + linux compatibility you can buy the R640L at a reduced price
