Cubase 4 vs Cubase STUDIO 4? (Sep 2006) whats the difference?
« on: December 11, 2018, 11:27:26 AM »

basically Cubase "STUDIO" fits into the similar definition as Cubase "ARTIST"
but basically they called it "STUDIO" (in versions 4 + 5)
before coming up with the term "ARTIST" in version 6

Cubase "STUDIO" target market is:
Composer, Musician, Producer in Project Studio

Cubase "FULL" target market is:
Professional music production
Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH has released Cubase 4 and Cubase Studio 4 (a streamlined version of Cubase 4) digital audio workstations for Windows and as a Universal Binary application for Mac OS X.

Cubase 4 introduces the SoundFrame universal sound manager, which helps users organize, preview and retrieve audio, video and project files, patches for software and hardware synths, Track and Instrument Presets, the MediaBay browser and media file management system, and more. The new Control Room feature integrates Cubase 4 within analog monitoring environments with up to four separate monitor mixes, external audio input integration, speaker selection, talkback and more.

Cubase 4 also offers a new VST3 plug-in set with more than 30 new plug-ins, including StudioEQ, Cloner, ModMachine, AmpSimulator and guitar tuner, and a new multiband compressor. New VST instruments include three new synthesizers—Prologue, Spector and Mystic—as well as the HALion One sample player with hundreds of new instruments based on Yamaha Motif waveforms.

A redesigned user interface offers enhanced navigation abilities, configurable channel strip and track inspector, and a range of new mixer functions. Score and notation features add a new settings dialog, symbol inspector and two new score fonts.
