New unsupported Midex 3/8 drivers available as of (Aug 04, 2011)
https://www.steinberg.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=150&t=11690
--- Quote ---These drivers support Windows Vista and Windows 7 as well as Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7.
But again, they are completely unsupported! If you want to use them, it is at your own risk! Only modifications to fit these drivers to the new operating systems have been made. There are no additional bugfixes included!
Nevertheless, we hope that some of you can start using their Midex devices again on current operating systems.

Just got a mint Midex8 in the mail today, for a decent price.

I've yet to test it thoroughly, but could not resist a teardown.
I don't remember how much this was new, but build feels definitely very cheap compared to the Unitor8/AMT8 from eMagic.

Main PCB just slides in into the plastic case, and is locked in place by the metallic backplate.
Still a little wobbling in the middle of the electronic board, because of its own weight and flexibility, combined to the lack of internal clamping to the case.
Rack ears are just fixed to the side of the plastic enclosure by two screws each.
Not sure the threads would resist a couple of dis-assemblies before being ruined.

motu and emagic built good ones
steinberg always preferred plastic
