Yeah, They drain down fast too just sitting around completely off...I have a netbook & an older HP laptop with such drives & since I don't use them much I still must be bothered with plugging them in every week or two...

There's a down side to EVERYTHING!!!

good thing i leave most of my computers on all the time...
better to back your data up to conventional hard drives maybe and use ssds just for "working space" + apps + save to a real drive

I installed a new NVME and SSD in my computer last fall. I put the old small system SSD (it had already been working for several years) in a box.

A few days ago I connected it - the whole system worked perfectly, although more than a year had passed.
