SSEYO Koan Pro 2.7 Generative Music Machine Win32...Brian Eno Used This>>>

(1/1)

Project5er:
Well, He used a much earlier version as this was the last of Koan from 2001 I believe...

Koan Pro had been around since early 90's but it got a 'KICK' when U2-David Bowie fame Brian Eno grabbed it up in 1995 & made 2 whole albums with it...'Generative Music 1 & More Generative Bla-bla'...

I could not find the first album but did find the second one & it says made with Koan-

So what he used was an earlier version this is from 2001 & is like the last one ever before they formed 'intermorphic'...

This version can use MIDI, built-in OR WAV-MP3 for instruments. Included are some encrypted SKP files but you have to install the player to listen to them...

If you wish to start with 'randomize' there will be no sound but these two images will solve that if you are a quick study as I figured it out...

Anyway following those two images you should be able to start to hear noise of some sort...You can probably sort it out from there...

There are MANY parameters covering EVERYTHING! Not wimpy in that department...

###NOTE!!...There is no REG button, You simply hit one of the 'right' buttons in use to get the challenge dialog...For me it was the 'record' button###

Eno's compositions sound OK, for being done in an earlier version kudos on that...Certainly not 'exciting' to listen to or energizing...More like plenty of melancoly...Perhaps BG music to read by or other...
