It highly depends on the copy protection.

You can scan the disc with ProtectionID first. https://web.archive.org/web/20210331144912/https://protectionid.net/
It detects a lot of third party copy protections. If nothing is detected you can use pretty much anything to crate a image file.
Otherwise (and if the disc has bad sectors which is also a form of copy protection) use something like Alcohol120% (preferably an old version on a windows xp machine).
After imaging check your file by mounting it with something like DeamonTools 3.47 on WinXP.

...but i dont think the wavelab disc has any protection because of the donlge. I think disc based protection wasn´t very common in audio apps but im not sure.
