previously to make this possible it required that the eprom be swapped out with a specific brand / size rom chip but this is now no longer neccessary thanks to some serious sleuthing

thanks to dosdude1 + others for their contributions to making this possible
doing so will make the card able to boot any PCI powermac into mac os 7.5 thru 9 aswell
as booting into OSX on g3/g4/g5 machines

dosdude1 has achieved a great thing here making many powermacs able to use new hard drives ;)

this has been a goal of the retro mac community for quite some time and its awesome to see progress
users at macos9lives speculated that there is an approx 10% speed increase but thats a technical measurement

see dosdude1's post on this page... find yourself a sil3112 card and you can flash it to work in a mac using the firmware attached to the post
