Digidesign Adat Digital Interface - Yes the FIRST ONE!
« on: March 08, 2023, 11:15:29 AM »
If needed I'll take several pictures and upload them here for posterity of my Original Generation Digidesign Adat digital Interaces.  These are father and grandfather to the Digidesign ADAT Bridge IO interface (16/20) and the ADAT Brdige IO/24 (24bit) interfaces.

I am currently on a quest to find the users guide/manual for this ancient of interfaces.  My goal is to use the two interfaces with my current setups which are the Session 8 PC with SampleCell II PC (ISA) system attached to Session 8 (882 Studio) interfaces and my ALESIS ADAT XT (16bit) machines as well as on my ProTools III Nubus system which is still under reconstruction.

So far I can send data over lightpipe OUT from Session 8 to record on the ADATS  but nothing I have tried gets Session 8 PC 2.5.1 (win98) to allow it to record audio FROM the ADAT into the PC.  I can NOT get any kind of ADAT synch lock for master/slave transport control either.

A manual or guide or even experience from others that have used this gear in the past would be most appreciative!  Hard to sort out older defective gear from user issues without the old knowledge.

Thanks much for any info!  I'll def upload pictures too if reqeusted/needed
