Has anyone ever approached Gibson about licensing/open sourcing Vision?

Given how long it has been I wonder if they would be open to selling/licensing, or even allowing it to be open sourced.

I sent an email back in late April to them and haven't heard a peep.   :(

Total shame, I would love to work on this as a project.
