I can confirm that this works. I'm mid way through a Win98SE DAW build and am far enough along to be able to run audio programs. I have been loading files from larger USB sticks without too much trouble. USB 2.0 is definitely working.

In my case there is a conflict though. I'm also running the '4GB RAM patch' that you can find. If I insert more than 1GB of RAM, the USB sticks won't mount properly (they show up as 'Unknown Devices') but the RAM appears and works. If I leave it at 1GB RAM the USBs load again.

If I find an answer to this problem and fix it I'll post an update.
