Looks like C4D slowing down so I'll finish with that one...

Next is fun...Running well in XP...

Here's a super cool one from the past...Which focuses on fast-efficient CEL painting to export as GIF or AVI or Sizzler Sprite or Bitmap or Bitmap Sequence...

Any of those options can be imported as well...

This thing loves transparent backgrounds and makes very efficient GIFs...

Has Floating Selections, Onion Skinning, Smudging, Airbrush....ETC....

Includes Beyondo an app that makes turning your system clock back then forward again as BEFORE you install WebPainter you gotta set the clock back to 9-9-97...Install, Reg then OK back to present date...

Cubase (Steinberg/Yamaha) / Re: Cubase Dongles (which Color? Which Version?)

See original post from our host.

PC Red Dongle : 16bit Cubase v2.5 up to v3.05, Win3.11/Win9x/WinME.
Flavour will depend on the label on the dongle (a regular "Cubase" dongle won't allow to run the "Score" version)
A "Score" dongle will run any version of the program.

PC Blue Dongle : 32bit Cubase VST 5 up to v5.2b, Win9x/Win10x64.
If it's labelled as "Score", it will not allow to run Cubase VST32, just VST and VST Score.

The Blue dongle may also allow to run the 16bit versions, but don't quote me on that. I don't quite remember if it did.

Ours were 8303 Thinkcentre M42 (i845G chipset) that were certified for a bunch of Operating Systems (much like the Thinkpad R42 laptops):

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Operating System Software:  NetVista M42 systems are tested for
compatibility with the following operating systems.

           Windows XP Professional
           Windows XP Home Edition
           Windows 2000
           Windows NT 4.0
           Windows 98 Second Edition
OS/2 Warp 4.0 and higher (select models)

The drivers section at IBM/Lenovo support website was an inextricable mess with unfriendly filenames, but you could try with drivers for these M42, depending on the PCI device ID.

Thanks. This machine has an SIS 661 chipset, I may do a bit more digging for drivers but for now it seems to be working well enough for my purposes.

My G40 laptop is also P4/XP era but (if memory serves) that was a breeze to install 98SE on, and it runs very well indeed (dual boot XP/98SE). I can't remember the details but google tells me it has an Intel 82852GM chipset, and it seems lenovo/IBM provided 98SE drivers... Just a shame that a laptop keyboard is less than optimal for Cubase, and that I can't put any PCI cards in it... :-\

From 2008-9 Until version 1.4 or 1.5 SunVox was a commercial product...

Certainly cheap enough & if you like the digital sound of it you are good to go...I never liked the pattern editor or how WAVs & XIs sound coming in...So if you like real kinda instrument sounds probably not a good choice...

Anyways this attached version was retail at the time...for collector or use or spectacle.....
