To record audio, you need to set the audio folder. Under options you need to select preferences. From there you can browse to a directory of choice.
Another good choice, for Windows 98 tethered gear. I would bet this application would work well enough on an 800Mhz machine. It is lighter then Tracktion2, and I've ran that on similar.
