general reccommendation:
when using Pro tools 6 + under; stick to partitions of 400GB or less;
***USB 2.0 is generally supported on Windows Only
***FireWire is generally supported on Mac Only, may require oxford chipset fw controller
using older vintage versions of pro tools versions under 5 it is strongly reccommended that you use SCSI connection + SCSI hard drive
***FAT32 is no longer supported after around v7.3 or 7.4;
