How often have you had a great inspiration...that somehow got lost on its way to the sequencer? Technology keeps advancing, but that hasn't made it easier to do what you want to do - write a song.

Until now. Meet the ENSONIQ MR-76 a new keyboard designed for the composer in all of us.

We studied the songwriting process, learning from musicians at all levels, across all genres. We learned what tools you needed. What frustrations you've had using a workstation keyboard or a computer. We came back full of fresh, new ideas and built them into the MR Series keyboards.

Take the Idea Pad, for instance. Noodle around a bit, try a few ideas. Don't worry, your inspiration has already been captured - the MR alwaysremembers what you play. Listen back to each idea and send the best ones to the 16 Track Recorder for further development.

Need a groove? Play along with some of the most natural-sounding rhythms you've ever heard, thanks to the onboard Drum Machine. Each rhythm has 8 variations and 8 fills, providing plenty of variety per style. Best of all, you can link the Drum Machine to the onboard 16 Track Recorder so they work together - you may never need to write drum parts again!

When you've got your ideas in the sequencer you have plenty of tools to help shape your performance, including some of the most musical quantizing options ever offered. And your editing is non-destructive thanks to the MR's Undo feature. Finally, you can use the Song Editor to quickly build your arrangement, getting the final mix just right with the Mixdown strip.

We wanted these great new concepts to be easy to use, so we put all the right controls on the front panel, arranged in sensible groups so you don't waste time searching through complex menus.

Of course there's more like quick splitting and layering of sounds, a powerful voice and effects architecture (the same as our MR-Rack), our acclaimed SoundFinderTM interface, support for Standard MIDI Files and General MIDI, an MS-DOS disk format, and much more.Note: Some computer-based sequencers do not recognize all Standard MIDI Files. Use the MRMIDI Utility in those cases.

Expansion is also available for the MR-Series Keyboards. Like our EXP-1 "The Real World" Expander, featuring 24 MB of World and Ethnic Waveforms and Sounds, and EXP-3 "Urban Dance Project" , with 24 MB of Grooves, Pads, Hits, Basses, and Effects. ($500.00 per expander).

Also available is the first of the new MRD Sound Disk Series MRD-1 "Synth Banks", a collection of 180 classic analog and digital synth sounds for only $24.95.

With the new Version 2.00 ROM software version, you'll be right at home with Step-Entry, Final Mixdown, MIDI-In Record, and the ability to save and load .WAV and .AIF files (with the optional MR-FLASH Sample Memory Board).

ENSONIQ has always been known for making powerful features easy to use. Now, with the MR-61 and MR-76 we've raised that standard. They're great-sounding instruments that make it easier than ever to write a song - right here, right now.
