The MIDI Translator PC is an expandable 2 IN x 2 OUT, 32-channel parallel MIDI interface for PC compatibles. Combining rock solid Opcode performance with a unique modular architecture, the MIDI Translator PC allows an unprecedented degree of expansion and flexibility.

Expandable
The exclusive Docking port of the MIDI Translator PC allows multiple units to be chained together. A single MIDI Translator PC gives the user a 2 IN x 2 OUT, 32-channel MIDI interface that connects easily to the parallel port of a PC. Quickly expand this to a 4 IN x 4 OUT, 64-channel interface by simply docking two units together. Up to four units may be connected for a 128-channel system!

Convenient
Get the ultimate in convenience with the MIDI Translator PC's printer passthru port and self-power capabilities. The passthru port allows a printer to remain connected and on-line at all times--no hassles with cable swapping. A power adapter is not required for stand alone MIDI applications, making the MIDI Translator PC the choice for portable systems. A power adapter is included for using the passthru or Docking features.

Dependable
The MIDI Translator PC works with all Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and Windows for Workgroups MIDI software. Rugged, small, and extremely portable, it fits perfectly alongside any notebook, laptop, or desktop PC.

Great Value
Expandable, flexible, reliable and modular--the new MIDI Translator PC sets the standard for price and performance. Its easy-to-use features and affordability make it the ideal interface for both beginning and advanced MIDI musicians. Together with Opcode's Vision for Windows sequencer and OMS (Open Music System), the MIDI Translator PC integrates seamlessly into any studio, becoming part of the total Opcode MIDI solution.

What is a Midi Translator?

The Midi Translator PC is a MIDI interface that connects to the parallel port of your PC. It was first released by Opcode in 1996. It came with a driver for Windows 95 that also works on Windows 98. Since then no new drivers have been released for this device. Until now.
