a few years before i started this site. back in around 2009 2010 i was given 2 B+W g3's with low clock speeds
like 300mhz or 350mhz G3 b+W machines.. i figured i would gut the machines and use the cases to build a hackintosh becausethis was something that was popular online at the time and alot of people were making bvideos + blog posts on how to do this.. and run snow leopard on PC hardware... what a mistake i ended up throwing out
TWO of the stealth g3ports that each of them had.. i didnt  know what they were when i gutted the systems inside
i wish i knew better !!!! anyway the guilt i felt after figuring this out is part of what led me to build this site LOL

i still cant find a g3port for my new g3 -450mhz b+W but i have a megawolf remus card so im good

G3Port Universal Serial Adapter
Item #:   2003-GPT

G3Port universal serial adapter

Description
Quote
Designed from the ground up with the G3 in mind it supports every serial device that works on your previous Mac by replacing the internal modem and providing a true hardware serial port

The gPort works perfectly and seamlessly and works where many of the USB-serial adapters fail

It works with all Apple and third party printers that are currently compatible with other Macs as well as Midi and any other Mac compatible serial devices like Palms. It even allows file sharing and printing over localtalk networks

Product Specs
The gPort has a nine pin Geoport connector just like all previous Macs

Includes
gPort adapter, a quick install manual and CD with the gPort drivers

Notes
Part Number: 2003-GPT
UPC: 685387020034

The original gPort supports the Blue and White G3s, and G4s using the PCI graphics motherboard. The newer g4Port supports the current shipping models of G4 with an AGP video card. If you bought a G4 when they were first released, check the Apple web page describing the models to decide which adapter you need.

Compatibility
The gPort universal serial adapter is the perfect companion for your blue & white G3
