Retrospects - Looking Back in Time / Re: New/old audio PC - Which OS?

Nice setup!  :D

Those early 2K's IBM Thinksomething were overengineered, built like tanks and a pleasure to maintain.
I should have saved one from work when I had a chance, since they had 98 and XP drivers.

Well the P4/98 machine is cruising nicely running an ancient version of Cubase. I'll have a go at an XP machine some other time... :)

Has anyone got a manual for this (or a similar version)?

Sure, there was plenty back then:

If you mean pdf, you can extrapolate from the VST 3.x or 5.x versions, which are about the same than Cubase 3.05 MIDI wise (except for tight timing) and use the same *.ALL/*.ARR fileformat:

Thank you. I've actually been using Cubase Audio XT 3.05 more recently... it's got a few extra features e.g. the Studio module and an arpeggiator which are quite useful. I haven't used the hard disk recording functionality other than a quick test to see if it works. FWIW I've found the timing to be good.
