Hey Chris.

Any news on the Cubase SL2 PC ISO?  ;)

I'm also interested in SE/SL/SX 1, if anyone has the PC ISO somewhere.

Got all the SE/SL/SX 3 from the Steinberg ALL/ARR to CPR conversion page working ok with the latest eLicenser on Win7 x64. You just have to install in safe mode to avoid being locked at the Steinberg font installation stage.

But I'm not quite satisfied when importing my old Cubase 16bit *.ALL/*.ARR project so far: Mixermaps events and Drums maps channels  are not translated, and tracks saved muted in the Arrangement still sound muted whatever I do in SE3.

So I'd like to give the first SE/SL/SX a shot.

Too bad Steinberg did not release the old file specs also, so we can build our own tools to mass edit those.

Anyways, cheers.

Edit: asked Steinberg support, here are the links for those intersted.

Cubase SE

Cubase SL

Cubase SX 1

Cubase SX 2

About the old *.ALL/*.ARR import compatibility, there are details in the attached file.

Works ok albeit not perfect (no multiple *.ARR import when contained into a single *.ALL file, no mixermaps events retreived, no drum map auto-conversion, have to select Cubase 3.7 drm instead, one has to manually change the MIDI channel in the Drums Edit mode to match the channel in track settings, and so forth).

Hi Chris! I have been trying to download this old VST pack, but it asks me a password to be unzipped. Do you know which one it could be?

Well...Shit, I am a windows user so of limited use to you...I have numerous 'bare DLL' steinberg collections...

For older stuff I have found HERE useful-

Have found alot of older audio-CG there...If there are multiple pages the last pages will have the OLDEST uploaded items...

Another place is Russians keep older stuff longer because they typically run older machines & probably they are SMARTER anyways....

synths - early 90s / Re: expansion DATA cards for JV880 (1992)

Did anybody find, or can upload, a SysEx dump of the "Rich Sound Collection 4" card (PN-JV80-07)?

Ideally, the dump should be created with a JV-80/880, so as to be as compatible as possible with the entire JV line of synths. (e.g., if the dump of the card is a created on a JV-1010, it won't be loadable by a JV-80, it will only work with JV-1010's or later compatible models)

A resourceful place for the d8b

This site has been put up to help d8b users to sort out most of the problems they can find along the use and enjoyment of Mackie's d8b Digital Console.
