Protools LE 5.3.2 digi 002 authorization
« on: May 02, 2026, 02:19:22 AM »
Hi,

I bought a second hand digi 002 without its bundle (CDs, manual). I think it was sold with a digi 002 version of Protools LE (5.3.2).

I downloaded the 5.3.2 version and installed it. When I try to run it, it requires an authorization code and says that this code is written on the cover page of the "getting started guide" provided with the digi002.

I suppose any digi 002 user have it if he kept its original bundle.

It is said that the digi 002 is the software key, but it is wrong. I ran the software with the digi 002 connected and it does not work. It is funny: there is a "welcome" message on the digi 002 screen before authorization request, proving that the interface is well recognized.

Is there a solution?

My config is Imac G4 cube/mac os 9.22/ Digi002 (upgraded firmware for mac os 9)

Thanks for your help!

Go to https://archive.org/ also known as internet archive and type in Cakewalk Dimension Proteus Pack (ISO) and (SFZ's) in the search engine. There is an ISO download that may contain a keygen.  :-\ Let us know what you find.

Thanks for your reply but the iso is for cakewalk, not protools.

Did I miss something?...

https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=367111 here is me talkign about the same topic in 2015 on the Avid Pro Audio Community forum

there should be more info on the macos9lives.com site i do recall i ended up getting hte disc off ebay and i must have installed it.... but that site is not the same as it used to be and is under new management. and digidesign screwed everyone by deleting all their support website downloads and info

im in the process of rebuilding my file server and hopefully i have the auth code u need stashed in there probably.
