This is a demo of Dynaware's Ballade 2.51 sequencing program
for the IBM and Roland sound modules. Version 2.51 now supports
additional synths, such as the Roland CM modules, DX7, Roland
D-series, etc.

Ballade is a graphical (EGA/VGA) sequencer, tone editor, librarian
and player. Fully mouse-controlled, you work in standard notation
(scores are printable on a variety of printers) and not "piano roll."
Your song parameters can be edited on pop-up graphs and displays
that you can manipulate. All the standard MIDI recording features
are here: step recording, live recording, fully selective track
monitoring, etc. You play your scores on a "mixing board" that shows
all track changes, pan, volume, reverb settings via numerical displays,
level meters and volume sliders. The tone editor section is first-
rate. The librarian isn't great, but it's enough to get your work done.
The song librarian allows long song names and features CD-like play
options, such as "chain", "random", and "repeat".

Certain functions (such as SAVE) are disabled in this demo, but everything
works. At the very least, it will work for you as a Ballade .SNG file
player if you never decide to buy the commercial program. The archive is
a self-extracting .LZH file.
