Welcome to Oldschooldaw.com! (Online since 2014) serving vintage computers worldwide! this is our NEW WEBHOST as we've moved from our OLD GODADDY to a brand new server location to start off 2026. thanks to Godaddy for hosting the site for 11 years and a big thank you to IONOS.COM for the great pricing going forward! this site exists as a resource for historical archival of information + file resources neccessary to make use of vintage computer hardware + vintage music composition software that runs on those old platforms. conceived conceptually by Chris Nova to address the problem of  missing information + missing chronological references caused due to this information slightly predating the creation of the modern internet, much of the information here has been sourced from magazines + books as well as scraped from other websites that have since gone offline and wont be coming back.

Upcycle is a standalone desktop application developed by Aria Labs designed for music producers, beatmakers, and sound designers. Its primary purpose is to help users rediscover, organize, and repurpose forgotten audio samples, loops, and one-shots sitting unused on their hard drives.   Key features and details about Upcycle include:How It Works: You point Upcycle at any sample folder or hard drive on your computer. It locally scans and analyzes your audio files (sorting them by musical role, tempo, key, percussive onset rate, etc.) without uploading anything to the cloud.   Instant Song Starters: Instead of forcing you to manually dig through thousands of unorganized files, it automatically combines your samples into playable "song starters" that are key- and tempo-locked using traditional Digital Signal Processing (DSP).   "Re-Roll" Inspiration: If you don't like a specific combination, you can quickly "re-roll" individual parts or the entire mix with the click of a button to spark fresh creative ideas.   DAW Integration: Once you find a combination that clicks, you can drag the audio stems or mix straight into your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) of choice.   No Artificial Intelligence: Notably, Upcycle does not use generative AI, machine learning, or AI audio manipulation; it relies entirely on traditional audio analysis and time-stretching DSP to manipulate your own local library.   Platforms & Pricing: It is available for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows (64-bit). It features a free-to-try demo (with saving, exporting, and DAW drag-and-drop locked), with a one-time purchase required to unlock full export and DAW capabilities.

The official website for Upcycle and its developer, Aria Labs, is:🌐 arialabs.io/upcycle   Quick Details from the Site:Free Demo: Downloadable directly from the site (no time limit, full scanning/playback access).   Pricing: $19.99 launch price ($24.99 regular MSRP) one-time purchase covering up to 10 computers.   System Requirements:macOS: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, Apple Silicon only (M1–M5; Intel Macs are not supported).   Windows: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
